FAQ
How many times do I need to see a nutriton expert?
Everyone is different and thats how we approach it. Some people just want help with a plan and come a couple of times. Some know they do better with support and accountability and do a 12 week program and come in every fortnight.
Can I get a refund from Medicare or my Private Health Insurance?
Dietitians are covered by most health funds but you will need to check with your provider.
If you have two chronic health conditions you may be eligible for a EPC (Enhanced Primary Care Plan) which contribute $50 for up to five sessions with a Dietitian. You will need to see you Doctor to discuss if you are eligible and you can not use both a EPC and your private health insurance at the same time.
How long does it take?
The initial sessions last 60min and the review sessions last 30min.
Can I bring my partner?
Absolutely, we encourage it. We do not charge more and find that partners who do the program together get fantastic results. Although they have different plans frequently the core is the same and when everyone is on board the whole process is much smoother…
What is the benefit of doing the program?
Programs mean we meet fortnightly giving you time out regularly to plan and reset for the next couple of week while you are making habit changes. Programs are a commitment for the dietitian and the person doing the program to get results. People doing a program will have access to their dietitians feedback not just in the sessions but online as much as they need in between sessions helping you spend less time talking about what you have been doing in the sessions and more time talking about what the plan is for the next two weeks.
